Accessibility approach
Refreshing Media aims to make this website clear, readable and usable across different devices, input methods and access needs.
The site has been designed with accessibility in mind, including responsive layouts, visible focus states, keyboard-accessible navigation, a skip-to-content link, semantic headings and reduced-motion support.
What should work
- Navigation should be usable with a keyboard.
- The mobile menu should open and close without requiring a mouse.
- Text should resize and reflow on smaller screens.
- Animations should reduce for visitors who use reduced-motion preferences.
- Links, buttons and filters should have visible focus states.
- The contact questionnaire should use labelled fields and standard form controls.
Known limitations
The website has not yet had a full independent accessibility audit. Some project screenshots contain text that is part of an image. These screenshots are included to show visual examples of previous work, but they are not the only way project information is communicated.
Some linked project websites are third-party or historic client sites and may not meet the same accessibility standard as this website.
Feedback
If you find something difficult to use, email liam@refreshing.media. Please include the page address, what you were trying to do, and what made it difficult.
Ongoing work
Accessibility will be reviewed as new pages, articles and project examples are added. Useful future checks include formal colour-contrast testing, keyboard testing across every interactive component and screen-reader spot checks.
